Black Indigenous People of Color Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must:
- Be a member of an organization whose mission seeks to advance the needs of populations historically underrepresented in higher education and/or be socioeconomically disadvantaged.
- Be admitted to UND as an incoming freshman or transfer student for the upcoming Fall semester and plan to be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours each semester).
- Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the upcoming academic year that opens in December. You can apply online at studentaid.gov

Amount and Duration of Award
- Variable; will be determined by the student’s unmet need on the financial aid award package.
- The award is renewable. A student may receive a maximum of eight semesters of funding for undergraduate work leading to a first bachelor’s degree. Transfer students will have a prorated offer.
Renewal Criteria
- Be enrolled in 12 or more credits on the official date to add/drop classes each semester and complete 24 credits each academic year.
- Maintain a 2.75 institutional GPA .
- Meet with an academic advisor at least once each fall and spring semester.
- Meet with a Student Diversity & Inclusion advisor two times each fall and spring semester.
