Dru Sjodin Memorial Scholarship

The Dru Sjodin Memorial Scholarship celebrates the life and vibrant spirit of former UND student, Dru Sjodin, by turning grief into triumph and continuing her legacy of involvement. This scholarship provides funding toward tuition and fees for a full academic year. Young women entering their sophomore, junior or senior year from any academic discipline are encouraged to apply. The recipient of the Dru Sjodin Memorial Scholarship Endowment will be a highly motivated young woman who is held in good academic standing. She will have charitable interests and enjoy volunteering within her community.

Qualifications:

  1. Born and raised in North Dakota or Minnesota
  2. Someone who demonstrates financial need
  3. Must be enrolled at UND for the entire scholarship term
  4. Must be an undergraduate student
  5. Graduation date cannot be more than 3 years away
  6. Cannot have more than 120 completed credit hours
  7. Must have an Institutional GPA over 3.0.
  8. An active member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority

Selected recipient of the Dru Sjodin Memorial Scholarship will:

  • Collaborate with CVIC at UND
  • Attend Clothesline Project & Take Back the Night Rally
  • Assist with a communication plan to promote the Dru Sjodin Memorial Scholarship and CVIC at UND
  • Maintain two journal entries of scholarship experience to share with the donor of the scholarship and Dru’s Family
