Naismith Family Mechanical Engineering Award Endowment

The Naismith Family Mechanical Engineering Scholarship is awarded to mechanical engineering students enrolled within the Mechanical Engineering Department, School of Engineering and Mines, at the University of North Dakota. Without regard to financial need, recipient selection will be based on the following criteria:
1) recipients must be a junior or senior with acceptable academic performance,
2) recipients must be involved in student engineering organizations, e. g., American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASHE), Society of Women Engineers (SWE), or other student organizations,
3) recipients must be of high moral character and demonstrate the skills and abilities necessary to become successful engineers. Recipients shall be selected by the Mechanical Engineering Department faculty.
