Vernon E. and Orlee R. Howell Education Scholarship

The Fund shall provide for scholarships to North Dakota students working on a medical doctoral degree or a degree in a medically related field who demonstrate financial need. Preference may be given to students with financial need working on a Doctorate of Medicine; however, other majors include, but are not limited to, Health Administration/Management, Social Work (Counseling), Medical Assistant, Medical Doctor/Pre-Med, Nurse, Nutrition, Occupational Therapy, Paramedic, Pharmacist/Pre-Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Physician’s Assistant, Public Health Administrator, Respiratory Therapist, Speech-Language Pathology, etc. Awards should be at least $1,000 each but may be up to $5,000 per student. It is the wish of the donor that the student recipients possess good morals, passing grades, ability, desire, and persistence to obtain their objectives.
